Given their functional design, these candles are best stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and drafts. A cupboard or drawer is ideal – this will protect the paraffin wax from temperature fluctuations which can affect burn quality and ensure they’re ready for use when needed.

Allow the candle to burn long enough for the entire top surface of the wax to melt evenly – this is known as ‘establishing a full cotton wick’. This initial burn of around 4-6 hours prevents smoking and ensures a cleaner, more consistent burn during subsequent uses. Always prioritise safety.
