Load is calculated as a percentage of the wax weight, not of the finished total. Every wax has a maximum safe fragrance load, and it differs by wax and by blend — always follow the maximum stated by your wax manufacturer. Exceeding it can cause the oil to separate, pool or become a fire risk.
